A physician who writes
I'm Auste Treska, a Doctor of Medicine working remotely at the intersection of clinical medicine and clear scientific communication.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Vilnius University (2026) after a BSc in Health Sciences from the University of South Florida, where I graduated summa cum laude. Across both, one thread held: turning dense scientific literature into something clear, accurate, and genuinely useful.
My focus is the space where medicine meets scientific communication. I evaluate peer-reviewed literature, appraise evidence using evidence-based-medicine principles, and synthesise complex clinical information into structured writing - literature reviews, research presentations, and clinical documentation. I presented original research on umbilical hernia recurrence at the International Medical Students' Conference in Riga, and appraised surgical literature through a hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery journal club.
I'm Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) certified and have hands-on research experience with REDCap, alongside clinical documentation work across hospital EMR/EHR systems. What I bring is rigorous reading, faithful summarising, and a real attention to detail - writing that respects both the science and the reader.
I'm now seeking medical-writing, scientific-communications, and clinical-research opportunities.
